Students in SOC 463 – Social Change – have organized a series of workshop for students graduating this fall or in the spring. These workshops are designed with interests of graduating students in mind, and are designed to help students develop resumes, handle finances and receive advice for taking the next steps in their life.
Overseen by Professor John Stewart in the Sociology department, these workshops vary in topics from health insurance to resume building to what kind of careers are available for graduates of specific majors. All workshops will be held in Hillyer 229.
On Thursday, Nov. 14 Ann Costello of the Barney School of Business Insurance Department will present about health insurance and what graduating seniors need to know. This workshop will run from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. From 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., immediately following the health insurance presentation, adjunct professor Mitch Weiss will talk about credit and what to do if you aren’t headed in the direction you expect.
