A 20-year-old male suffered life-threatening injuries after colliding with a car while on a skateboard near the intersection of Harris Street and 20th Ave., Eugene police said.

The victim was transported to the hospital, according to a press release.

Police have asked for motorists to avoid the area between 19th Ave., and 21st Ave., for an undetermined amount of time.

Police have not released additional information.
