Friday night I was in the mood for something new to eat for dinner. I wanted to stay local so I decided to try out a small Thai food place next to Walgreens.
Upon entering, I noticed the decor was beautiful and welcoming. It felt like I had actually been transported to Thailand because of the decorations.
The Thai wait staff dressed in traditional clothing, and the smell of Thai food was strong coming from the kitchen.
There were small bamboo plants everywhere and interesting decorations on the walls. The waiters were quite pleasant as well, smiling and making conversation.
After a few minutes of looking over the menu, my friend and I chose to get the chicken and spinach pot stickers, which were delicious. For the main course, I chose the vegetable red curry and my friend chose the duck with Thai barbecue sauce.
Both dishes were excellent, but the duck was absolutely phenomenal. The meat just fell off the bone and the sauce was literally “finger lickin’ good.” The dishes also came on pretty glass plates that displayed the culture even more.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to try something a little different. The curry is spicy, but you can chose medium with the red or make a dare with the yellow or green for a sizzling kick. The prices are also fairly reasonable ranging from about $11 to $20 for each main dish.
