At the time of its foundation, the University of Oregon was a treeless grassland. Over the ensuing decades, thousands of trees were planted. However, numerous buildings are now encroaching on these trees. In his campus tree tours, adjunct instructor Whitey Lueck hopes to teach students about this valuable resource.
