The UNC Charlotte Latin American Student Organization (LASO) is hosting their 11th annual Masquerade Ball April 18, at 7 p.m. in the Student Activity Center Salons.
The event, free to all UNC Charlotte students, is to, “celebrate minority women in the area who have done a lot for the community,” says LASO President Marco Campos.
The event will include a dinner, social and song and dance performances by students.
The “club style” social will begin at 9 p.m. and will give students a chance to mingle and meet new people. For dinner, attendees will dine on an Italian buffet.
Students looking to attend the Masquerade Ball should dress business casual.
Campos adds, “Students should expect a lot of diversity and fun. It will be a banquet but in a fun and relaxed way.”
LASO is currently planning a social for Hispanic Heritage Month this coming October.
