Indiana receiver Doss will declare for NFL Draft

Indiana star wide receiver Tandon Doss will forgo his senior season and declare for the NFL Draft, a source with knowledge of the situation said. The source said Doss met with new IU coach Kevin Wilson on Monday to inform him of his decision.

The source said Doss is declaring now because he believes his stock is as high as it is going to get, especially since the Hoosiers will have a young starting quarterback next season.

Doss, an Indianapolis native, caught 63 passes for 706 yards and seven touchdowns last season. He also rushed for 163 yards and a score.

Doss is rated as the No. 9 wide receiver prospect, according to nfldraftscout.com.

Doss’ decision means Damarlo Belcher will be the Hoosiers’ top returning receiver next season. Receivers Kofi Hughes and Duwyce Wilson should also have an increased role in the offense.
