For this event the top five times from each heat advance plus the next two best times overall. Patrignelli’s mark of 10:09:83 was one second too slow to make the cut.
Had Patrignelli advanced she likely would not have scored in the final, something Oregon desperately needs if the English Gardner injury is something to worry about.
